Christmas weddings at Kilkea Castle have a feeling of warmth that Amare Stories showcase in the most beautiful videos and photos, so that your family and friends can share in your special day with you.
For Kathy and Ross, their day started with a beautiful frost covering the splendid grounds of Kilkea Castle.
For now, you can watch their beautiful wedding video, then read on to learn more about Kathy and Ross and why the wedding venue was perfect for them.
The wedding ceremony was being held in the Castle too, so that meant we had plenty of time to capture some footage with the groom’s party, which is not always the case when the lads are not on site before a ceremony.
I always think this adds a beautiful balance to the wedding videos.
Ross and the lads even had time for a pint of Guinness during the morning preps, always a good sign!

Christmas weddings at Kilkea Castle
Kilkea Castle is one of those venues that feels both grand and deeply personal at the same time. Set on a historic estate in County Kildare, it offers a rare blend of old-world charm and relaxed luxury that suits couples who want something meaningful rather than overly staged.
From the long tree-lined drive to the stone walls and warm interiors, there is a natural sense of atmosphere that carries throughout the day.
The light around the castle grounds is particularly beautiful, especially in the late afternoon, which makes for effortless, story-driven imagery. Whether it is a quiet moment in the courtyard or a walk along the grounds, Kilkea allows the day to unfold in a way that feels genuine. It is a venue that supports the flow of a wedding rather than dictating it, which always leads to more honest, lasting memories.
Below, you will find a carousel of images from their short film. You can click on any to view the larger version.
Kathy and Ross chose Kilkea Castle for their full wedding day, and it suited them perfectly. They brought a great energy from the very start, relaxed, present, and completely focused on enjoying the experience together.
That tone carried through everything, from the morning preparations right into the evening celebrations. Kilkea gave them the space to be themselves, whether that was sharing quiet moments away from the crowd or fully embracing the atmosphere with their guests.
As a couple, they were a joy to work with, open, easy-going, and trusting the process, which always leads to stronger storytelling. Their day flowed naturally, without pressure, and that allowed us to capture something real rather than forced. Kilkea Castle worked as the perfect backdrop, but it was Kathy and Ross who truly brought it to life.
