Storytelling wedding video at Kilkea Castle for Ciaran and Lauren.
Lauren and I had been in contact for about a week, chatting about packages for her wedding video. A while later, when chatting to Ciaran, she mentioned my name and that we were her first choice, but that Amare came at a premium compared to some other videography options.
As sure as Murphy’s law, Ciaran said, “I think I know Ronan Quinn”.
It turns out we both met on a business mentoring course during the Covid years. Within a few days, they had their chosen package booked in.
The wedding video above is full of emotion and a very personal triumph for Laurens’ father, Shay.
I wanted to try to stay true to the emotions of the day, but keep the story about Ciaran and Lauren.

Storytelling wedding video at Kilkea Castle
Lauren and Ciaran’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that winter weddings can be every bit as magical as those in the height of summer. Set against the backdrop of a stunning February day filled with sunshine, their celebration unfolded with a warmth and atmosphere that nobody could have planned, but everyone will remember.
Their day began at St Conleth’s Parish Church, where family and friends gathered to witness the beginning of their next chapter together. There was an immediate sense of excitement and anticipation as guests arrived, and the highlight was Lauren walking the first half of the aisle with Pad and the final half with her father, Shea, to the applause of the congregation.
Once the ceremony began, the atmosphere became quieter and more emotional. Surrounded by the people closest to them, Lauren and Ciaran exchanged vows in a ceremony that felt both heartfelt and relaxed. The winter sun streamed through the church, adding an extra softness and warmth to the occasion.

Following the ceremony, celebrations continued at Kilkea Castle, one of Ireland’s most iconic wedding settings. Arriving at the castle under clear blue skies felt almost unexpected for February and created the perfect setting for guests to enjoy every moment of the day. The golden light across the grounds gave the afternoon a timeless feel, allowing everyone to slow down and enjoy being together.
Inside the castle, the atmosphere carried seamlessly into the evening. Speeches brought plenty of laughter and emotion, dinner was shared among friends and family, and the celebrations continued long into the night.
Throughout it all, Lauren and Ciaran remained fully present, soaking up every part of the day together.
Elegant, relaxed and filled with sunshine, their wedding was a perfect celebration from beginning to end.
