Boyne Hill House Wedding Video of Laura and Colm
With it’s stunning setting along the river Boyne this Boyne Hill House Wedding Video features an outdoor ceremony in their secret garden.
Laura and Colm initially met me at Lauras cousins wedding in Palmerstown Estate. When Sinead and Paul received thier wedding video they all met up for a movie night.
Shortly afterwards Laura got in touch with me to check availability.
What I really loved was that Laura and Colm had watched Sinead and Pauls full wedding video and they complimented me on how much fun and laughter was captured.
The short films are cinematic and full of emotion.
And the longer videos covers all bases!
I always tell my couples that although I am booked based on my short cinematic films, the longer wedding video usually grows in value over time.
It’s also lovely when a couple put their full faith in me, but if you have anything in mind I am always willing to listen.
Read on below to hear a bit more about Laura and Colms big day and be sure to check out their advice towards other couples getting married.
What can you remember about your first date?
We were both in college around the same time and met years later and never looked back!
Our first date was at a restaurant in my home town. He was late and I thought he stood me up! But in fairness…I pretty much stood him up the week previous so I wouldn’t have blamed him!
How did the proposal go down?
Goodness me….where do I start!
Ok, I sell diamonds for a living and Colm enlisted my work mates to help design my dream ring!
We were travelling to South Africa for our friends wedding and unbeknownst to me the proposal was in the works!
We travelled to SA via Ethiopia…where we missed our connecting flight and the airline lost our bags.
Yes.
Colm put the ring in the check on bag!
After about 36 hours of what can only be described as a nightmare we eventually make it to SA after numerous tearful calls home to family who were all way to excited to hear from us for some reason….!
Our friends wedding was amazing and we finished our trip at an all-inclusive safari where on our first night, in our little private cottage built into the side of the mountain, Colm asked me to go on our biggest adventure yet.
And there we have it!
A drama-filled engagement but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Why did you choose this venue?
We chose Boyne Hill House for one simple reason. The staff.
From the moment we arrived we felt like family.
The fact that I cried during the entire tour also sealed the deal!
My favourite movie of all time is also The Secret Garden so the fact that I could literally get married there was pretty great!
What experience did you want to give your guests?
We wanted a laid back fun food-filled party! I think we delivered!

What Was The Inspiration Behind Your Wedding Day?
Going back to basics, no frills or fuss or extras.
Our day was about me, Colm, our families and friends and that’s was it. We wanted everyone to just have the best time and dance their socks off.
If You Could Do It All Again, Would You Do Anything Differently?
Nothing. We had the best day and have the best memories!
Any advice for future couples that you learned from your wedding?
Don’t let the little things worry you.
Put your money into the right places ie photographer, videographer, music.
These are the things you will have to keep to remember the day! We had no extras, no mad table plans or light up dance floors.
But we did pick one of the best wedding bands in Ireland.
Everyone remembers and talks about the food and the music and I wouldn’t change it!
Take your time with finding your celebrant. We found Thomas at a wedding show in the RDS and we spent ages talking to him about how it all works.
He was just so lovely and gave both myself and Colm the feeling as though he was family. Also, try and get like 10 minutes on your own. We had this between drinks reception and the meal, we sat alone in the little bar while Ronan and our photographers were off in the distance.
We pretty much forgot they were there and just had little chats and a drink together.
Some of these photos are so lovely as well.
Make sure you grab moments like this, the day is so intense so a sneaky hug is so important as the day goes on!
Honeymoon Plans?
We went to Zanzibar! What an experience it was! Karibu!
How Did You Find Your Main Vendors?
I was lucky enough to meet most of my vendors through friends so I was able to see them in action beforehand and see their finished products first hand!
